This week in English all activities are based around the book 'The Highway Rat' by Julia Donaldson! Do not worry if you do not have the book at home as we have included links to enable you to access the story at home. 

In Science this week we will be applying what we have learnt so far about the different seasons. 

In NICER this week we will be exploring what the beach was like in the Victorian times through a couple of reading comprehensions. The children will then use this new learning to compare beaches in the past and present using a venn diagram. 

There are a variety of Maths activities based upon the Year 1 Maths objectives. 

There are a variety of phonics activities this week which will help the children to recap phase 3-5 sounds.

Spellings this week include a variety of year 1 common exception words.
