Listen to the story below read by Mrs Farnsworth!

MONDAY - Read 📚 or Listen to the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' 🐻 by Michael Rosen and then make a story map to help you remember the sequence of the story. You will need your story map to help you retell 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' later in the week. (Please see the pictures below for some story map ideas)

TUESDAY - Let's build a 🐻 Bear Cave outside/inside using any materials you can find BUT it must be big enough for you to fit inside! When you have completed your Bear Cave re-read or re-listen to the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' by Michael Rosen and join in with the repeated phrases i.e. "We're going on a bear hunt. We're going to catch a big one." etc. This will help you to get ready for retelling the story later in the week!

PLEASE SAVE 2 TOILET ROLL TUBES FOR A CREATIVE ACTIVITY LATER IN THE WEEK!

WEDNESDAY - Let's get active and join in with a 'Cosmic Kids' yoga session. Go to YouTube and search 'Cosmic Kids Yoga We're Going on a Bear Hunt' click on the link and let's begin. The yoga session will take you through the story reminding you of the story sequence and also reinforce good listening skills.

THURSDAY - Let's get creative and make a 'Story Telling Puppet' to help us retell our story (see pictures below for ideas). Now use your STORY MAP and STORY TELLING PUPPET to retell the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' 🐻 by Michael Rosen. Why not video record yourself retelling the story and send it via ClassDojo! I look forward to viewing your efforts smiley

FRIDAY - Let's go on a 🐻 Bear Hunt. First let's make some binoculars using your toilet roll tubes (see pictures below for ideas) our binoculars will help us to spy the hiding bears. Parents/Carers can you please ask your child to find 10 teddy bears for you to hide around your house and garden. Once hidden the child/ren can go on a Bear Hunt with their binoculars around your home remebering to count the bears as they go! Can you write numbers 1-10 in your writing book? Can you accurately count out 5 bears?

Why not put a BEAR in a FRONT WINDOW for your friends to find.

You could also use your binoculars again to go on a BEAR HUNT on your daily exercise route and see if you can spy anymore hiding bears!

Why not have a go at making some 'Bear Paw Cookies' as a tasty weekend treat!
