At Birchen Coppice Academy, we follow the Worcestershire local authority criteria for admissions.
Where the number of preferences received exceeds the number of places available, the following criteria is applied.
- Children in care or cease to be in care through adoption as defined by the children act 1989.
- Children who satisfy both of the following tests:
Test one – the child is distinguished by great majority of other applicants by medical grounds or other exceptional circumstances.
Test two – the child would suffer hardship if they were unable to attend the Academy.
- Children who have an elder sibling attendance of the Academy.
- Children within the catchment area of the Academy.
