This week's activities are based on the story 'Superworm' written by Julia Donaldson

Listen to the story below read by Mrs Farnsworth!

MONDAY - Read or Listen to our story focus 'Superworm' by Julia Donaldson. Then get creative and make 'Superworm', this could be out of a sock, play dough, a twig, draw a picture etc. (see ideas below) 

TUESDAY - Design and make a 'Superhero Mask' to wear. What will your Superhero be called? What powers will your Superhero have? (see ideas and mask template below) 

WEDNESDAY - Today 20.05.20 is International Bee Day so let's draw a picture of a bee, a beehive, some flowers or trees. Then display it on your window for all to see! 

You could also go on a 'Bug Hunt' to see what insects you can find living in and around your back garden. (see bug hunt sheet above) 

THURSDAY - Let's make some wiggly worms out of play dough, string, wool or twigs. Then measure how long each one is using a ruler or you could use cars, stones, buttons etc. Can you record your answer? Which worm is the longest/shortest? Can you order the worms from the shortest to the longest?  

FRIDAY - Let's learn some fun facts about worms and build a wormery! (see information and ideas below)
