MONDAY:

Good morning my lovelies! How are you all? I had a lovely week at school and now I am back at home for a week. What have you all been up to?

This week we are moving onto learning about worms. Today we would like you to draw a picture of a worm and then write some facts about them underneath. Here are some fact sheets for you to look at to find out some information.

Have a great day! We can't wait to see your wonderful work.

TUESDAY: Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful Monday 😊

Today we are going to explore the story Superworm! Have a listen to the story and discuss the events that happen. Then together draw a story map to explain what happens. You can listen to the story again whilst you are drawing to help you.

Here is mine for you to see an example of. I am really sorry, I can't turn it around.

WEDNESDAY:

Good morning! It's looking like a bit of a cloudy day today! But that's ok...
Today, we would like you to have a day full of numbers all the way from 1 to 20!
- Go on a number hunt around your house, what numbers can you find? Have your grown-ups hidden any numbers? What numbers did you find? Can you do that many jumps, hops or pats on your shoulders?
- Count the different amounts of toys you have. How many teddies have you got? How many books have you got? Have you got more or less than the teddies?
- Count your food at lunch time, how many sandwiches or sausage rolls or grapes have you got? Do you need to count or do you know by looking?
- When walking up the stairs, how many steps have you got? Can you find that numeral?
Numbers are everywhere and we would like your children to explore and learn the numerals 1 - 20.
Hope you have fun! I'm off on my number hunt now!

THURSDAY:

Good morning, today is a writing day :D
We would like you to choose a character and write about them.
You may write some labels to describe them or you may write sentences to describe them, but please allow your children to be an independent as possible. We would like them to think about what they would like to write and identify the sounds they need to write those words.
Here are some pictures of the characters to help them think about the characters.
Here are some example sentences:
"The crow is black and evil."
"Superworm is kind."

FRIDAY:
Today we would like you to retell the story of Superworm! You can either record you retelling the story using your story map (voice record or video, you can decide) or you can write the key events in the story using your phonic sounds and your story map.
This is completely your choice! We are really excited to see the many different ways you retell the story!

Have a look at my story map if you need it :)
Hope you all have a wonderful day :)
