Week 1 - Week Beginning Monday 1st June
Welcome back! I hope you had a lovely half term break.
Work will be uploaded in weeks- there is enough work for the week, but you may choose to do more English one day and then more Maths the next.
Remember to read every day for at least 30 minutes and complete Timestable Rockstars.

English
In English this week our activities are based upon the well known Julia Donaldson book 'Stick Man'.
Science
In Science this half term we will be exploring animals. This week we will be exploring some of the key vocabulary that the children will be exposed to within this Science topic.
Nicer
In NICER this week we are continuing to explore beaches by comparing beaches in England to beaches abroad.
Maths
This week's Maths activities are based upon 'time'. It will encourage the children to recognise how to tell the time when it is 'o clock' and 'half past'.
Phonics & Spellings
Phonics this week includes different activities that will encourage the children to practice and apply their Phase 3 and Phase 5 Phonics sounds.
Spellings this week include the 'months of the year'. I know we have had a go at these already but these are something the children should be able to write at the end of year 1.
