Week 3 - Week Beginning Monday 15th June
Hello year 1. We hope you are all safe and well!
Here is this week's work. Maths and English are broken down into days to provide some structure however you may choose to do more English one day and then more Maths the next.
Remember to read every day for at least 30 minutes and complete Timestable Rockstars.

English
English activities this week are based around the Julia Donaldson book 'Commotion in the ocean'. Do not worry if you haven't got a copy of the book at home as we have included a link which allows you to listen to the story online.
Science
In science this week we will continue to look at grouping animals.
Nicer
In NICER this week we will be using the facts that we found out about our chosen countries last week to make a travel brochure which should encourage others to want to travel there too.
Maths
In Maths this week we will be consolidating our knowledge on 2D and 3D shapes.
Phonics & Spellings
We have included different Phonics activities to help the children to remember their learning on phase 3 and phase 5 sounds.
Spellings this week include more numbers and we have also added some tricky words too!
Reading Comprehension
We have added a reading comprehension to help the children to develop their ability to read a short piece of text and then answer questions about it.
Children should also continue to read daily at home!
