Week 4 - Week Beginning Monday 22nd June
Hello year 1. We hope you are all safe and well!
Here is this week's work. Maths and English are broken down into days to provide some structure however you may choose to do more English one day and then more Maths the next.
Remember to read every day for at least 30 minutes and complete Timestable Rockstars.

English
This week's English tasks are based around the book 'The singing mermaid' by Julia Donaldson.
Science
In Science this week we are exploring the different things that animals need to survive such as; food, water, shelter etc.
Nicer
In NICER this week we explore the different things that we would need to take with us in order to stay safe in the sun. We have also included a beach safety reading comprehension too.
Maths
In Maths this week we are developing our understanding on 'Halving'. We will practice halving amounts and also finding half of a shape.
Phonics & Spellings
We have included a range of Phonics activities which will enable the children to practice the phase 3 and phase 5 sounds. We have also included spellings based upon the year 1 common exception words.
