Hello year 1. We hope you are all safe and well!
Here is this week's work. Maths and English are broken down into days to provide some structure however you may choose to do more English one day and then more Maths the next.
Remember to read every day for at least 30 minutes and complete Timestable Rockstars.

English
This week the English activities will be based around the book 'Commotion in the Ocean' by Giles Andreae.
Science
In Science this week we will be exploring the different foods that animals eat. We will also be identifying how animals become classified as a Carnivore, Herbivore or Omnivore.
Nicer
This week we will continue to explore beach safety and we will explore how we can keep safe if we go on a trip to a beach.
Maths
In Maths this week we are exploring how we can find a quarter of an amount or a quarter of a shape.
Phonics & Spellings
We have included different phonics activities to enable the children to apply their learning on Phase 3 and Phase 5 sounds.
Spellings this week include different year 1 common exception words.
Reading Comprehension
Our reading question this weeks involes a story about a school trip to the beach. To complete the reading comprehension you will need to read the text and answer the questions about it.
