It's time to start our new Nicer topic! Up, Up and Away!

To kickstart our learning, I would like to challenge you to create a rocket! You may want to choose from the ideas below or be creative and make a rocket that's unique to you!

Famous Flights!

Over the years there have been many famous flights - some were successful and some weren't. I'd like you to write a fact file about people from the past that have made some of these famous voyages.

What can you find out? What can you tell me?

You can decide how to present your information but I'd love to see you try and use headings and super smart sentences. Pictures would be fabuous to go alongside your information.

To start you off, below are some links to information on just a few of the people who made history flying through the air! There are some reading comprehensions too (some have stars at the bottom of pages. The more stars - the trickier it is. So take your pick). See what you can understand about these people, their lives and their flights.

WEEK 5 - SCIENCE

Our new Science unit is Material and their Properties.

To kick start our topic I would like you to complete a materials hunt in your home and/or garden. Try to think back to what you leanrt about materials in Year 1.

Below is PowerPoint to remind you of different materials and what they look like. Have a look through and then try to complete the worksheets. Remember, the materials is what the object is made from, not the object itself.
